1. Acceptance of Terms

By booking or participating in any rental, lesson, or guided experience with Jupiter Sea & Ski, LLC, you agree to these Terms & Conditions and our Service Agreement. These terms are legally binding for all participants listed in the reservation.

 

2. Age & Licensing Requirements

  • Riders must be 16 years or older to operate a personal watercraft (PWC), in accordance with Florida law.

  • Renters must be 18 years or older to book, rent, or assume financial responsibility for any WaveRunner.

For All Operators (Florida Law)

Anyone born on or after January 1, 1988 must complete a NASBLA-approved boating safety course and carry proof of completion while operating a personal watercraft (PWC).
Acceptable proof includes either of the following:

  • A valid Florida Boating Safety Education ID Card, or

  • A valid Florida Temporary Boating Safety Education Certificate (good for 90 days from the date of issue).

Operators must also carry a government-issued photo ID along with their certificate at all times while operating.

For Florida Residents and Visitors

Both Florida residents and visitors can obtain the 90-day temporary certificate by completing a short online exam through an FWC-approved provider.
This option is ideal for guests who haven’t yet completed the full boating safety course or are visiting from out of state.

3. Passenger & Weight Limits

  • Each WaveRunner accommodates up to 3 passengers or a maximum combined weight of 530 lbs.

  • Children 6 years and older may ride as passengers.

  • Children must sit in the middle or rear seat, with an adult operating at the front.

 

4. Guided Experience & Supervision

Jupiter Sea & Ski operates as a mobile concierge jet ski rental and guided tour service.
Our licensed guides are on the water with each group and remain within view or direct proximity at all times to ensure safety, navigation assistance, and compliance with local boating regulations.

 

5. Cancellation & Refund Policy

We understand that plans can change; however, each reservation requires time, preparation, and dedicated equipment.

  • 72+ hours notice: Eligible for a full refund or one-time reschedule (subject to availability).

  • Less than 72 hours: Non-refundable.

  • No-shows or same-day cancellations: Non-refundable and non-transferable.

6. Weather Policy

For the safety of our guests and staff, we do not operate during unsafe weather conditions.

If weather prevents your scheduled rental or tour from taking place, Jupiter Sea & Ski will contact you to reschedule or provide a full refund.

All weather-related cancellations are determined at the discretion of Jupiter Sea & Ski guides and management, based on local marine and radar conditions.

 

7. Waiver & Release of Liability

All participants must sign a Waiver and Release of Liability, Assumption of Risk, and Indemnification Agreement prior to departure.
Minors must have their waiver signed by a parent or legal guardian.

8. Insurance & Damage Deposit

Optional renter’s insurance is available through our third-party partner, vQuip.
Guests who do not select optional coverage are required to provide a $500 damage deposit per jet ski before departure.
The deposit is held until the equipment is returned and inspected. Any damages or repair costs exceeding this amount are the responsibility of the renter.

9. Safety Rules

  • All required U.S. Coast Guard-approved safety equipment (life jackets, whistle, fire extinguisher, and safety lanyard) is provided and must be used as instructed.

  • Life jackets must be worn at all times while on the water.

  • No reckless driving, wave-jumping near other vessels, or entering restricted areas.

  • Drugs and alcohol are strictly prohibited before and during operation.

  • Participants must follow all instructions provided during the orientation and on-water supervision.

  • If equipment is returned damaged, the renter is responsible for repair or replacement costs.

 

10. Arrival & Late Policy

  • Guests must arrive 30 minutes before their scheduled start time for orientation and check-in.

  • Late arrivals may result in reduced ride time or forfeiture without refund.

 

11. Media Release

By participating, you grant Jupiter Sea & Ski permission to use photos or videos captured during your experience for promotional or marketing purposes, unless you opt out in writing before your reservation.

 

12. Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of the State of Florida.
